A global financial institution is seeking an experienced Operations Project Manager to lead key regulatory, infrastructure, and systems transformation projects in Tokyo. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, risk control, and regulatory readiness, particularly in areas involving JASDEC and market infrastructure institutions. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver lasting impact across high-value investment banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations and system-related projects from impact analysis to full implementation, ensuring seamless transition and user adoption
• Monitor regulatory, market, and infrastructure changes (e.g., JASDEC, BOJ), evaluate impacts, and implement necessary workflow or system modifications
• Conduct operational reviews and drive process optimization to improve efficiency and risk mitigation
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including IT teams, vendors, and regulators for project execution
• Support governance and compliance through operational risk reviews, data quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• 10+ years in investment banking, including 3+ years in securities operations
• Proven track record in project and change management within complex environments

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with system implementation, workflow optimization, and UAT
• Familiarity with JASDEC, BOJ, JSCC, JDCC, and JPX operations and regulations

Soft Skills:

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Business-level (for internal operations and external communications)
• English: Business-level (for cross-border project coordination and documentation)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Regional or global project experience
• Experience working with senior-level management and stakeholders
