Are you a licensed Occupational Therapist who wants to affect a real change in Utah's and looking for PART-TIME work? The Department of Health and Human Services is looking for a supportive individual to fill their role of Occupational Therapist.
Job Responsibilities:
Follow through on assigned referrals by providing evaluation, assessment, eligibility determination, and IFSP development
Make recommendations to families on developmental skills in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional, cognition, speech/language/communication, self-help, and adaptive
Maintain an assigned caseload incorporating research based intervention activities into daily routines that best facilitate child and family driven outcomes
Coach parents to learn and follow through with interventions
Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and timely while supporting families through the transition process before the child ages out of Baby Watch Early Intervention services
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
A current Occupational Therapist license
A valid driver license
Knowledge of a family centered service delivery model
The ability to create professional trainings and presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Part C early intervention experience
Knowledge of early childhood development, specific to birth to 3 years
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
One or more years of pediatric experience with children and families
Work Schedule:
This position is part-time and will be scheduled approximately 28 hours per week.
Flexible hours; primarily between 8:00AM - 5:00PM MT; the specific hours are negotiable but will need to be consistent.

Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc. Exposure to radiology and noxious chemicals; exposure to contagious illnesses, infections, and hazards such as hitting, biting, kicking, etc., by clients.
Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time. Job involves lifting clients in and out of wheelchairs, physically working with clients on therapeutic postural equipment
