Data Engineer

This position is based in Warrington, PA and is currently a Hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 at home). This may change in the future to include more days in the office. The creative nature of the role, and the highly collaborative environment to support it, require the team to be in the same room for part of the week. If you are only looking for remote opportunities, unfortunately, this isn’t the one for you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a critical member of the Performance Assurance service team, the Data Engineer will acquire and analyze utility-scale electric power plant process data to develop and deploy machine learning-based forecasting and anomaly detection systems.

• Build production deployments of machine learning offerings via established Azure resources
• Work with internal Primex subject matter experts to discover/communicate value-add prospects and avenues for optimization
• Problem-solve and modify deployments per specifications
• Remain responsible for deployments and servicing of customer requests
• Clearly and concisely document deployments for each new end user

Must Have:

• 4-year degree STEM degree
• Experience with industrial process and time-series data.
• OSIsoft PI experience preferred
• Fluent in Python and SQL
• Experience in quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning concepts, APIs, etc.
• Current experience in front-end visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.)
• Understanding of Azure infrastructure: VPNs, VLANs, NSGs, Gateways, etc., preferred
