Aria Energy is a market leader and one of the largest companies in the North American LFG sector. Company History
As one of North America’s premier Landfill Gas (LFG) companies, Aria Energy provides engineering, design, construction, operations and maintenance services for LFG to energy facilities. We own and/or operate a diversified portfolio of 44 LFG recovery and processing projects across 17 states, collectively representing 273.8 MWe of energy capacity. Our portfolio includes 29 owned projects that generate electricity and 8 owned projects that produce pipeline-quality renewable natural gas (RNG) or medium Btu gas. We also provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services to 7 projects owned by third parties. We have over 25 years of experience in the supply, transportation and distribution of energy, heat, fuel and hot water from renewable energy projects. LFG projects are baseload power generation resources that can operate 24 hours a day, providing a reliable and continuous source of renewable power. Because of this, 1 megawatt (MW) of installed capacity at an LFG project generates 2-4 times as many megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity, renewable energy credits (RECs) and production tax credits (PTCs) as 1 MW at a wind or solar facility.
